SCARZ
INTO SOUND

Matty Scarz is a Latin tech house and groove DJ and producer whose roots run deep in Brazil and Colombia. Now based in New York City, U.S.A., his journey in music has been anything but ordinary — shaped by rich cultural influences, remarkable resilience and an unwavering passion for rhythm.

On New Year's Day 2014, Matty was in an accident that left him a burn survivor. What could have broken his spirit instead sparked a new beginning. Music became his sanctuary: a way to find peace and to turn physical and emotional pain into raw sonic expression. That same journey drives his work off the dance floor, giving back to young survivors through the Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp.

Beyond the studio and the booth, Matty is the creative director behind Memories, one of New York City's fastest-growing nightlife experiences — now launching its own imprint, Memories NY Records. Known for immersive themed editions like Carnaval and Après Ski, Memories draws crowds of more than 1,000 people every event and has brought in headliners including Oscar G, Tony Guerra, Kofla, Juany Bravo, Andrea Quintero and Cristian Arango.

Matty has played across the United States and abroad in Colombia and Brazil, and his tracks have been supported by Cloonee, Tony Guerra, Italobros, Draxx (ITA) and more. Next up: a European tour in 2027 alongside legendary DJs, to be announced soon.

With every performance he shares a piece of that journey — turning his Scarz into sound, and his struggles into unforgettable nights on the dance floor.
